Barbara Kruger, is an American conceptual artist. She combines found images, converts them to black and white before juxtaposing the imagery with carefully chosen words.
Her work has been described as rebellious. She purposely challenges the norms of society by calling attention to how society impacts people including how people change when they become leaders. Her work is meant to spark discussion.
Using her work as inspiration, students created their own posters with a message of their choice. Photoshop was used to create the posters.

Students from classes across Eastside participated in this exploration of feelings. The gallery is a portion of the responses when students were asked to share their Hopes, Fears, Values, and reflect on the question, Justice for Whom?
Please sign our guestbook and let us know what you think. How to the images make you feel? Do you agree or disagree with any of the social commentaries? We want to hear your reaction.
